Student Accounts
This page includes information on how to create or access your DOE student related accounts. The NYC Schools Account (NYCSA) gives parents access to grades and attendance for your student. Information below also allows you to lookup DOE Student Accounts which will be used for Google apps for remote learning and access Microsoft Office 365 account for students.

NYC Schools Account (NYCSA)
The NYC Schools Account (NYCSA) is an app that lets you see your student’s grades, attendance, fitness results, schedule, and more from anywhere and in all DOE languages: Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, English, French, Haitian Creole, Korean, Russian, Spanish, and Urdu.
DOE Student Accounts
To keep students connected and meeting academic requirements when learning remotely, the DOE has created student accounts for every single New York City public school student. The account gives your child access to Google Classroom and Microsoft Office 365. They will be able to use tools such as:
Google Drive
Google Classroom
Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Word
Microsoft Excel
Microsoft PowerPoint
OneDrive
Student profile management and reset account password
To retrieve your account ID and password:
Go to Student Account Self Service to manage profile or reset the account password
or
Contact your child's school for assistance
Google Classroom Access
Access Google Classroom
To access Google Classroom:
Go to classroom.google.com
Enter your DOE Student Username.
Click Next.
Enter your password.
Click Next.
If the username and password entered are correct, you will be signed-in successfully.
Microsoft Office 365 Access
Access Office 365
To access Microsoft Office 365:
Go to portal.office.com
Enter the account ending in @nycstudents.net.
Enter your email and password.
If the username and password entered are correct, you will be signed-in successfully.

If you are unable to access your child’s student account, contact your child’s school. The DOE has created a report of every student and their email address, and made it available in STARS Classroom.
